Virtual walkthrough with pipeline
The company Fertigbau Wochner as part of the Volgebau Group has been known for many years for high-quality and innovative construction projects made of self-manufactured precast concrete elements. Not only single-family and multi-family houses are realized, but also complete industrial and office complexes. Wochner recognized the potential of Virtual Reality early on and together with UReality several individual projects have been realized. In the near future, Wochner will offer its customers the virtual walkthrough of any construction project as an option. This will be carried out via a semi-automatic pipeline, which delivers far better results than visualization systems in CAD programs currently available on the market.

Also for our client Fertigbau Wochner we realized the virtual realization of a 7,000 sqm office complex with two outdoor areas, canteen, kitchenette, toilets, waiting area as well as various offices. The user can fully immerse into virtual reality and not only explore the building, but also redesign it. In the so-called "communication corners", the walls can be painted, the floor can be replaced with various carpet, parquet and tile coverings and. This allows the user to create completely new moods. The new website of the family practice - Dr. Andreas Kirsner - Oberteuringen was created in close consultation with the customer. The special thing about it: The customer can edit opening hours and news himself via a hidden login. Through this "Mini-CMS" the customer only has access to approved content and can adapt it without any programming knowledge.

Digitization Handover protocols
Tomobil GmbH offers mobile sanitary systems. In order to digitalize the process of return, documentation of defects and transparency of the company, we developed a user-friendly input system. This serves primarily to properly document defects of the lent cars and thus to simplify communication with the customer. Customers, drivers or even the accounting department can view logs directly via the application depending on the user status.

Augmented Reality App as sales tool
Linde Material Holding as part of the Kion Group is one of the leading manufacturers of logistics equipment worldwide. In 2018 we were commissioned with the programming of an augmented reality application as a sales tool. In cooperation with Linde MH we developed an application which allows the sales department as well as the customer to place a large number of forklifts in real size. Special features of this implementation are the HighPoly 3D models, dynamic loading of content via Microsoft Azure and a multitude of other details. Since 2019 the application is now freely available in the AppStore and at GooglePlay, have a look for yourself.
VR MultiLaunch Exhibition
For the internal MultiLaunch event we were not only responsible for the implementation of the virtual reality application, but also for the on-site support. 50 Oculus glasses were simultaneously recorded by us and visualized the transformation of an old forklift model into the new H20 - H35. With particle animations and a 360° timelapse film, the starting signal for a successful ergonomics workshop was given. In fact, the feedback of the visitors was so good that the virtual experience is now also available as an app in German and English for download in the Oculus for Business Store.

Bonowi IPE stands for high quality products for police and security authorities. In the course of the planning and marketing of the ITC (International Training Center) we were commissioned to present the building and its possibilities by means of Virtual Reality. Using ArchiCAD data, a walk-in model of the entire site was created and enhanced with an interactive experience for the EnforceTac2019 trade fair visitors.

Mit dem CPC100 stellt Omicron electronics eines der innovativsten Messgeräte seinen Kunden aus dem Energiesektor zur Verfügung. Um dies sowohl auf großen, als auch auf kleinen Messen wirkungsvoll zu kommunizieren, entwickelten wir für unseren Kunden eine Virtual Reality Anwendung mit Gamification Inhalten. Diese Anwendung zeigt eindrucksvoll, welches große Spektrum an Messaufgaben mit nur einem Tool abgewickelt werden können. Besonderen Augenmerk bei dieser Implementierung findet die iPad Fernsteuerung und Lead Erfassung für das Standpersonal.

Interactive workshop in VR
Fair time is virtual reality time. For the largest trade fair for automotive and workshop equipment, the Automechanika 2018 in Frankfurt, we realized an interactive workshop in VR for the company MAHA Maschinenbau Haldenwang GmbH. The goal was to create a nearly photorealistic representation of the individual products from existing CAD data and to demonstrate the coverage of the complete process. Thus MAHA is not only a manufacturer of high-quality lifting platforms, but also maps the complete testing process for vehicles of all types. From brake tests to exhaust and light tests, all stations are graphically animated in the application. As a full-service provider, we not only took over the programming and 3D design of the application, but also delivered the hardware and support on site at the trade fair.

AR Smartphone App for museum
The Gustav Werner Foundation and Haus am Berg opened the Gustav Werner Forum in 2018 in the heart of the city of Reutlingen. This building contains event and exhibition rooms as well as a museum about the life and work of Gustav Werner. To make this exhibition even more interesting for the visitors, UReality implemented a smartphone application, which enriches individual exhibits or locations within the exhibition with augmented reality content.

Industry 4.0 is a term that is often associated with Augmented Reality. For an innovation project of BMW AG we realized a digitalized workstation that supports the worker in his daily work. Special emphasis was placed on ergonomics and adherence to the cycle time. Using a system with several cameras and a connection to the SPS interface of the production, data is processed in real time and the worker is guided step by step through his work.

3D real-time simulation
SHW Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH is one of the world's leading manufacturers of travelling column machines and is one of the internationally recognised specialists for metal cutting. As an innovative company, SHW attaches great importance to the latest technology, especially in the maintenance area of its machines. Together with UReality, SHW developed a special machine connection to detect and eliminate malfunctions faster. This enables the 3D real-time simulation of the machine. This makes it possible to display the exact position of the tool and to define optimal strategies to move the tool to the start position in case of a failure.

Together with Thyssenkrupp, Daimler decided in 2016 to make a new production facility accessible in the virtual environment before construction begins. Based on the available design and simulation data, VR scenes were created in which the user can enter plant areas. Furthermore, additional information can be displayed and interact with the components. In order to give an overview to other interested parties who are not themselves in the VR environment, a mixed reality scenario was offered with the help of a green screen. This enables the real user to observe the real user in the virtual environment himself.

Creation of photorealistic renderings
60 years of Hymer - an occasion which was duly celebrated at the 2017 Dealers' Conference. UReality was commissioned to create photorealistic renderings and animations from existing CAD data for the presentation. These were played out on a huge LED screen to the delight of the attending dealers and press.

MT Aerospace AG
VR for Training - under this motto we already realized a training simulation for the assembly of components for MT Aerospace and MPL Engineering in early 2017. The production of the room-sized component can now be experienced within VR. The user can identify difficulties in the areas of ergonomics and accessibility and prepare himself accordingly for the actual design. Furthermore, the handling of used machines and aids is shown.

Handsfree version of the visualization software for Epson Smart Glasses BT-300
Systronik GmbH is a manufacturer of high quality and innovative measuring instruments for various applications. In 2016 CABS was released, a system for modular measuring equipment with Bluetooth support. In the course of the product release, UReality implemented a handsfree version of the visualization software for Epson Smart Glasses BT-300, which allows the technician to use both hands free during the measurement and thus increases the comfort and safety during use.

AR application for SmartGlasses
For an internal showcase, the company ZF Friedrichshafen AG commissioned UReality to create an application for SmartGlasses. The aim of the demonstration was to make teach-in processes on a machine more efficient using new technologies. The application guides the worker step by step through the tasks to be performed using a tablet or SmartGlasses and displays instructions on the machine or component in the correct position.

Hawera, as part of the Robert Bosch Power Tools GmbH brand, is active in the manufacture of tools for drilling, chiselling, cutting and sawing. Due to this complexity in production, Augmented Reality is a technology that shows the user what to do in 16 different places directly on the real machine. Depending on the product to be produced, the corresponding animations and explanations are displayed. Misunderstandings are not possible thanks to AR. In order to optimize the set-up time, great importance was attached to a hands-free solution. By using a HUD, the operator can use both hands freely.

Ice hockey without ice, playing field and protective clothing! Together with the Towerstars from Ravensburg, fans can now experience ice hockey in a virtual environment. However, a real stick is used. With the help of a tracker a, stick the exact position can be determined and the puck can be shot at the target in the virtual environment. The advantage: The player has the haptic experience of holding a real stick in his hand and can control the puck depending on the force of the stroke. Scoring goals in the virtual ice rink requires a bit of feeling and practice - the virtual goalkeeper defends his goal against every stroke. Virtual mini-games are especially popular at events and for marketing purposes.

Virtual fire extinguisher
This project deals with safe, virtual fire extinguishing training for fire safety assistants. The focus was on creating a model for a parameterizable fire and its implementation based on a physical simulation. The special thing: The user can playfully practice fire extinguishing fires without endangering himself. Using real fire extinguishers equipped with tracking and suitable modifications, the fire protection assistant can now extinguish a simulated fire. The simulation of extinguishing agents and the supply of extinguishing agent in the fire extinguisher as well as the detection and signaling of burns by the user not only offer a high degree of gamification, but also show the user where he has to pay more attention in an emergency. Therefore, this software also provides an important evaluation that shows the extinguishing time, injuries and fire development at the end of the training.
